This photo exemplifies why I love creating patches. The crew of Artemis II are absolutely wearing all the patches from that career that have signifcant, deep, earned meaing to them. They wear them with pride. Each design has significant meaning to both the individual, the crew and the team that got them there. Godspeed, Artemis II.

I am excitd to release Part II of my ongoing mosaic of linked mission patches, inspired by NASA’s Artemis II. This design depicts two astronauts inside the Orion capsule, gazing out the window in quiet awe at the lunar surface—a moment of reflection that captures the human side of this historic mission. Created to interlock with the first patch, it advances a larger, story-driven mosai. The Earth is rising over the limb of the moon like it did for Apollo 8, a mission with a similar objective as this.  Artemis II represents a return not just to lunar orbit, but to firsthand experience, and I’m excited to share this next chapter with collectors. Patch is 4" in width and is a hybrid embroidery and DTF patch.

Retrorocket Emblems is releasing an Artemis I patch, which is the kick-off patch for a mosaic of patches to be released throughout the span of the Artemis program. These patches will interlock into a larger design and commemorate major milestones of humankind's endeavour to once again land on and explore the moon. I expect there will be at least 8 but possibly up to 12 patches in this set.

The first patch commemorates the Artemis I un-crewed mission to orbit the Orion spacecraft around the moon and back, which will be an full integrated flight test of the SLS launcher, ICPS stage and Orion spacecraft on a mission to the moon and back. The patch is four inches / 10cm wide.

The first patch is for the uncrewed Artemis I mission launching in August 2022.
